DESPERATION

Oh wait...we mean motivation. Our team was connected by our love for San Diego and food. We all enjoy using Yelp to search for food but it lacks our need to search for things to do. We decided to create a web application that would deliver what we believe to be the ultimate solution.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

Helps visualize activities in San Diego, whether you're just looking to grab a quick bite, or plan a full itinerary with some friends

WHO IS THIS MADE FOR?

Anybody and everybody!
Well...those interested in San Diegan activities of course.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

  • We began to brainstorm project ideas. What was our motivation? What kind of APIs could we use?

  • We narrowed down to two ideas and decided that we would choose based on who could make the API for each project to work first. That was the begining of a karaoke webpage.

  • Once we dug deeper into the Spotify API, we realized that the object that it returned did not contain the full music video but rather a 30 second preview.

  • We decided to table our karaoke idea and come up with a new idea.

  • APIs are slowly working in our favor. Now we've also begun to work on the front end.

  • Jesse: Google Places, Zomato
    Sungwoo: Google maps
Bryce: Connecting the UI with Javascript
Cindy: planning, organizing, code UI AKA code mom

  • Attempts to delete all unnecessary files.

  • Bryce destroys repository with merge conflicts.
    Has mental breakdown.

  • Splash.js makes its way back into the repository.

  • Bryce has a successful merge. Morale is up.

  • Cindy has merge conflicts. Morale back down.

  • Sungwoo saves the day. Highfives all around!
